RE: It's hard to keep vigil at the hospital

I got through it by putting one foot in front of the other. And leaning on my support system. Good luck and best wishes.

RE: How to stop a dog from poo-ing/peeing in the house/camper?

Lost cause....The poster asks for help/advice because his method is clearly not working. Yet when excellant advice is given, he dismisses it. His opinion is known effective training techniques are treating dogs like humans and will create a mental case. I repeat. Lost cause....

RE: Where do the four legged friends ride in the rv?

My dogs will always be secured in their crates behind a cargo barrier. I learned my lesson when I had a not soo hard stop, and my 32 lb. dog was nearly airborne.

RE: Camper fire, what happened here?

Today we saw a beautiful burned out Phaeton class A motorhome, less than an 1/8 of a mile from the TC fire that this thread is about. Traffic was backed up for miles, looks like the toad was damaged too. For some reason it is not uncommon to see burned out RV's and cars along this stretch of I-80. By the way the damage at the flyer's doesn't look all that bad.

Oh that is terrible news. He was such a nice and classy man, a terrible loss. My heart goes out to his family.

RE: Good outdoor non-fiction books??

"A River Runs Through It" and "Young Men and Fire" both by Norman Maclean. You just reminded me about another great book. "Fire On The Mountain" by John Maclean, Norman's son.

RE: Good outdoor non-fiction books??

Another good one is The Klondike Stampede, by Tappan Adney. My BIL who is lives in Dawsen gave it to me. Supposedly the definative narrative of the Stampede.

RE: Good outdoor non-fiction books??

I enjoy similar topics. Into thin Air is one of my favorites! Here a just a few I've enjoyed.. Roughing It by Mark Twain Nature Noir by Jordon Fisher Smith, a park ranger int the Sierra Desperate Passage by Ethan Rarick, one of many Donner Party books. The Mountains of California by John Muir The World Rushed In by J.S. Holliday, California Gold Rush

RE: Regarding reflectix panels

I bought mine at home depot. I cut it with scissors, and joined it with the tape that is sold for that pupose. The tape should be sold near it in the store. I have just layed mine under the mattress with no attachment. But I have a popup so that may not work in a hyrid.

RE: Thoughts on stepping down to Pup

Keep in mind on board holding tanks would be a pain for extended camping without hookups. To empty at a dump station you would have to collapse everything to move it.
